Credit Reporting Code Framework Presentation
ARCA has been working with our industry association colleagues (through the Code Industry Council) to redraft the existing Credit Reporting Code of Conduct. In order to ensure all stakeholders have had an opportunity to engage in this process ARCA has appointed independent code drafters (Cameronralph Navigator). The Code Drafters have been consulting with a number of industry associations/organisations and have drafted a code development framework document that seeks to make some sense of the requirements of the Australian Government as identified in the Privacy (Enabling Privacy Protection) Bill 2012, and ensure that the credit reporting system meets the expectations of consumers and industry stakeholders. This document is a key step in the ongoing process of developing a new framework for credit reporting in Australia.
